WIP: Greenwich Socks

My Greenwich socks are coming along slowly, it's pretty warm here so I'm just getting in a few rows here and there when a nice breeze comes along. I'm really pleased with how they look so far and I'm looking forward to getting past the heel so I can try them on and have an idea as to how they will fit.

The yarn I'm using is a Regia Design Line Kaffe Fassett. I'm really loving the colours, the stripes are beginning to repeat themselves which is nice, but it does mean I'm going to have to try and match them for the second sock. The only minor annoyance I'm having is that the stripes do not begin and end crisply. As each new colour comes along I'm getting blobs of the old colour for a few metres before the new colour settles in.

This is leading to these wobbly looking stripes.

It's not the end of the world but I'm finding it a little irksome.

And briefly, in other news, this cheeky charlie....

.......is now crawling! I'm not sure what her hurry is, she not yet six months and I'm finding it funny that she can crawl before she's even on solid food!

That's an annoyance of self-striping sock yarn. I'm working on plain vanilla socks and I get some blobs of old color in with the new color for a row or two. It happens.

Also, I don't stress about matching my self-striping socks. They're fraternal twins and I've come to peace with that :)
