Apprentice Yarn Lover?

So a couple of days ago I got a nice little parcel of yarn in the post. The Drops cotton super sale is on so I stocked up to make a few summery bits. This little lady was all over the fibery package

She set up shop on the sofa

Relocated to the other sofa

And then felt that the table was the best place for it

Before mean old mummy made her put it in separate bags with a note on to remind me which project each yarn is for. Spoilsport!

WIP: Greenwich Socks

My Greenwich socks are coming along slowly, it's pretty warm here so I'm just getting in a few rows here and there when a nice breeze comes along. I'm really pleased with how they look so far and I'm looking forward to getting past the heel so I can try them on and have an idea as to how they will fit.

The yarn I'm using is a Regia Design Line Kaffe Fassett. I'm really loving the colours, the stripes are beginning to repeat themselves which is nice, but it does mean I'm going to have to try and match them for the second sock. The only minor annoyance I'm having is that the stripes do not begin and end crisply. As each new colour comes along I'm getting blobs of the old colour for a few metres before the new colour settles in.

This is leading to these wobbly looking stripes.

It's not the end of the world but I'm finding it a little irksome.

And briefly, in other news, this cheeky charlie.... now crawling! I'm not sure what her hurry is, she not yet six months and I'm finding it funny that she can crawl before she's even on solid food!
